Dog Training Club of St. Petersburg > Facility Information
Facility Description
The Dog Training Club of St. Petersburg (DTCSP) is an extremely active club that offers multiple agility, obedience and scent work trials, as well as flyball tournaments each year. Their facility is buzzing with activity throughout the week offering training classes for numerous dog sports as well as occasional seminars. The all-volunteer club is active in the community — performing demonstrations for events and supporting dog rescues.
The DTCSP building houses three different “rings,” which are all used during an agility trial. The club is excited about the new turf floor installed in April, 2019 in one of the rings. The DTCSP building is one of the few air-conditioned dog agility facilities in Florida.
Crating & Potty Area
- Ring #1 is used primarily for crating. Another ring is used for crating, as a makeshift lunch area, for the warm-up jump and more. No crating is allowed in the turfed agility ring area.
- The designated dog potty area is in the back of the building. The club requests that you restrict your dog to that area when possible, avoiding the area in front of the building and that of nearby businesses.
Air Conditioning: Fully air-conditioned
Kitchen/club provided food: Free lunch is available for volunteer workers. Water and beverages are available for a small donation. Fast food and casual restaurants are nearby.
