Middle Tennessee State University Livestock Center > Facility Information
Facility Description
The MTSU Livestock Center is located on the campus of Middle Tennessee State University. The complex was completed in 1988 and offers over 155,000 square feet of space under roof. It provides an excellent temperature-controlled environment.
This building is an older agricultural arena. It is maintained but shows its age in certain areas. Murfreesboro is a pre-civil war era town but now thrives as a college community.
Crating & Potty Area
- Spacious crating. Mostly on concrete, although dirt crating is available.
- Distance to the arena is not an issue
- There is no crating in the actual arena area (Vendors may set-up closer to the arena)
- There are multiple grass potty areas just outside the building. Buckets and bags are available
Public Wi-Fi: No
Overall Cleanliness: Fair to poor at this visit. Apparently there was a staffing issue at the time and restrooms were not well maintained. This was not an issue on previous visits.
Air Conditioning: Fully air-conditioned
Heat: Yes
Restrooms: Restrooms are located in the same building, but are closer to the arena than the crating room. They are near the concession stand and main entrance.
Food Vendors: There is a concession stand. It is permissible to bring in your own food or have it delivered.
Room for Dogs to Run: There is a large field in the RV area, but it is not fenced.
