The rings are surrounded by walls or plexiglass. Sometimes the dogs get very close to this glass where people are setting on bleachers. Orange netting is installed in front of the plexiglass where there are bleachers, and signs are put up by the bleachers asking people not to sit there when the course takes dogs near there. But there are some instances where the audience distracts the dogs.
The entry to the ring is in the middle, with a fenced walk-way to the front of the ring (this is why the ring size says it is 80′ / 70′ – the 70′ part is for the walkway
There is a very large staging area at the front of the ring because agility doesn’t use the full 135′. That is also where the practice jump is located
The practice jump is open (not at all fenced)

Floor is soccer turf
In 2019 the pellets were replaced with the kind that are very dusty and dirty. Every dog needed a bath after trialing there
There is good footing for the dogs to run
